Lunch for today

White and Dark Chocolate Chip Pancakes and an Egg Over Medium

I Scream

for delicious homemade, gourmet ice cream created by Kellen Bradford of Klara J’s Artisan Confections.

My favorites of the tasting were the Papaya sorbet, the Pineapple sorbet, Vanilla ice cream [I know, I know: I’m a plain Jane], the Rosewater ice cream [with added chocolate truffle sauce], and the Affogato ice cream. I was pleasantly surprised by the new iced flavors such as the Tomato Sorbet, Cardamom ice cream, and the Honey Basil ice cream: I wish I liked tomatoes, it was the first time I’ve ever tried cardamom anything, and who woulda thunk honey and basil could harmonize? Overall, a great tasting and great time!

Between the Tomato and the Pineapple Sorbets

Classic Vanilla [I paired it with the strawberry confit]

Tropical Delight [if only I liked blueberries and coconuts!!]

Rosewater [one of my favorites of the night]

Rosewater with chocolate truffle sauce: Valentine’s Day in a ramekin!

Hazelnut Truffle

Affogatto [Coffee and Amaretto]

Sauces: Strawberry confit, Chocolate Truffle, and Caramel

Cardamom

Cardamom with Chocolate truffle sauce

Shortbread cookies [love!!]

Three sorbets and seven ice creams all in one sitting: I call that a successful day

The Rock Star Chef himself: Mr. Kellen Bradford

Today’s festivities were held at Wine Styles on Dowlen. Alcohol’s not my thing, but if you’re in the mood for some wine in and around Beaumont go and support this awesome local business!

And remember to check out my friend Kellen’s awesome array of services!

Crème Brûlée

This was a friend gathering which turned into a tumblr meet-up of sorts. I always see things on tumblr about tumblr gatherings, but never been to one, but I’m going to count this crème brûlée making/ board game playing night as one even if we already know each other haha

And here are my ladies of tumblr as seen from left to right: RachelBethany (executive chef for the night), SamChristine, and our lovely hostess Lauren
